Through water transfer printing, you can print unique patterns on the helmet according to your preferences to show your unique personality
Steps:
1. Preparation:
Before you begin water transfer printing, make sure the surface of your helmet is clean, smooth, and free of any dirt or residue. Use sandpaper and cleaner to smooth the surface.
2. Paint base layer:
Please choose a suitable primer and spray it on the helmet surface to ensure the adhesion and durability of the water transfer pattern. Wait for the primer to dry completely.
3. Prepare the sink:
Fill the tank, the temperature of the water should be between 20℃ and 30℃, and the optimal temperature is 25℃. Make sure the surface of the water is smooth and free of splashes or bubbles.
4. Prepare water transfer coating and activator:
Mix together the water transfer paint and activator according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Typically, the ratio of paint to activator is 1:1.
5. Transfer the pattern to water:
Print the selected water transfer pattern on a film-like carrier paper. Wait a moment to ensure the ink is dry, then slowly lower the carrier paper into the water.
6. Activate and soak:
Once the carrier paper is fully immersed in water, apply the activator and wait a few moments to ensure the pattern is fully activated.
7. Transfer to helmet surface:
Gently submerge the helmet in the water, ensuring that the pattern evenly coats the surface of the helmet. Use a stick or similar tool to remove excess carrier paper carefully.
8. Drying and setting:
Wait for the water transfer pattern to dry on the helmet surface, usually 30 minutes to 1 hour. After making sure the helmet is completely dry, you can optionally apply a protective layer of clear spray paint for added durability.
9. End:
Once the clear spray paint is completely dry, gently submerge the helmet in the water, ensuring that the pattern evenly coats the surface of the helmet. If desired, you can add other embellishments or designs to enhance your personalization.
